Objetivo de AprendizajeLearning Goal

Después de estudiar esta unidad podrá usar el Método de la Palabra de la Unidad 8 de WiseSpeak para planificar un sermón evangelístico completo. Seleccionará una palabra clave (sustantivo plural) del texto, formará un tema claro, construirá tres puntos cortos y paralelos (cada uno de cinco palabras o menos) y escribirá un objetivo evangelístico de una sola oración que lleve a los oyentes a Cristo. After studying this unit you will be able to use the Word Method from Unit 8 of WiseSpeak to plan a complete evangelistic sermon. You will select a plural noun keyword from the text, form a clear subject, build three short parallel points (each five words or less), and write a one-sentence evangelistic objective that leads listeners to Christ.

In Unit 8 of WiseSpeak we learned four practical planning methods for evangelistic sermons. One of the simplest and most powerful is the Word Method. This method starts with the biblical text itself. We read the passage, look for a key word or idea that stands out, and let that word become the plural noun keyword for the entire sermon. The keyword holds the sermon together. Every point in the outline is a singular of that plural keyword. The result is a unified, easy-to-follow message that stays anchored in Scripture.

El Enfoque InductivoThe Inductive Approach

El Método de la Palabra sigue el enfoque inductivo enseñado en las primeras siete unidades de WiseSpeak. Comenzamos con los hechos específicos del texto y trabajamos hacia atrás para descubrir la palabra clave y el tema. No inventamos puntos. Dejamos que el texto hable. Cuando el texto nos da tres hechos claros, convertimos esos hechos en tres puntos cortos y paralelos. Cada punto tiene cinco palabras o menos. Los puntos son paralelos en estructura para que el oyente pueda recordarlos fácilmente. The Word Method follows the inductive approach taught in the first seven units of WiseSpeak. We begin with the specific facts in the text and work backward to discover the keyword and subject. We do not invent points. We let the text speak. When the text gives us three clear facts, we turn those facts into three short, parallel points. Each point is five words or less. The points are parallel in structure so the listener can remember them easily.

Ejemplo de Juan 1:1Example from John 1:1

El texto dice: "En el principio era el Verbo, y el Verbo era con Dios, y el Verbo era Dios" (Juan 1:1, RVG). Vemos tres hechos específicos sobre el Verbo:The text says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1, NKJV). We see three specific facts about the Word:

La palabra clave es "hechos" (un sustantivo plural). El tema es "Tres Hechos acerca del Verbo". Los tres puntos se convierten en:The keyword is "facts" (a plural noun). The subject is "Three Facts about the Word." The three points become:

Tema: Tres Hechos acerca del Verbo · Palabra clave: hechosSubject: Three Facts about the Word · Keyword: facts
  1. Hecho Uno: El Verbo existía primero.Fact One: The Word existed first.
  2. Hecho Dos: El Verbo estaba con Dios.Fact Two: The Word was with God.
  3. Hecho Tres: El Verbo era Dios.Fact Three: The Word was God.

Cada punto es un singular de la palabra clave "hechos". Cada punto es corto y paralelo. El sermón permanece inductivo porque comienza con el texto y deja que el texto forme el bosquejo. Each point is a singular of the keyword "facts." Each point is short and parallel. The sermon stays inductive because it begins with the text and lets the text form the outline.

Ejemplo de Hechos 16 — El Carcelero de FiliposExample from Acts 16 — The Philippian Jailer

La Unidad 8 de WiseSpeak nos da la historia del carcelero de Filipos en Hechos 16. El texto pregunta, "¿Qué debo hacer para ser salvo?" y responde, "Cree en el Señor Jesucristo" (Hechos 16:31, RVG). Leemos los hechos específicos del pasaje. La palabra clave es "pasos" (un sustantivo plural). El tema es "Tres Pasos para la Salvación".Unit 8 of WiseSpeak gives us the story of the Philippian jailer in Acts 16. The text asks the question, "What must I do to be saved?" and answers, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 16:31, NKJV). We read the specific facts in the passage. The keyword is "steps" (a plural noun). The subject is "Three Steps to Salvation."

Tema: Tres Pasos para la Salvación · Palabra clave: pasosSubject: Three Steps to Salvation · Keyword: steps
  1. Paso Uno: Escuchar el evangelio.Step One: Hear the gospel.
  2. Paso Dos: Creer en Jesús.Step Two: Believe in Jesus.
  3. Paso Tres: Ser bautizado.Step Three: Be baptized.

Nuevamente los puntos son cortos, paralelos y cada uno es un singular de la palabra clave "pasos". El sermón se construye directamente del texto usando el método inductivo.Again the points are short, parallel, and each one is a singular of the keyword "steps." The sermon is built directly from the text using the inductive method.

The Word Method keeps the sermon biblical. It forces us to stay in the text instead of adding our own ideas. Because the points come from the text, the listener sees that the message is from God, not from the preacher. The short parallel points make the sermon easy to remember. The plural noun keyword gives the whole sermon unity. The one-sentence objective keeps the focus on leading people to Christ.

Este método también funciona cuando un solo versículo no contiene cada punto. Simplemente usamos textos de apoyo adicionales de otros pasajes, pero la palabra clave sigue controlando todo el bosquejo. Los puntos permanecen limpios como singulares de la palabra clave plural. This method also works when a single verse does not contain every point. We simply use additional supporting texts from other passages, but the keyword still controls the entire outline. The points remain clean singulars of the plural keyword.

Siete Pasos Prácticos para Usar el Método de la PalabraSeven Practical Steps to Use the Word Method

  1. Leer el texto elegido con cuidado.Read the chosen text carefully.
  2. Hacer la pregunta de sondeo que el texto responde.Ask the probing question the text answers.
  3. Buscar la palabra clave o idea que destaque. Convertirla en un sustantivo plural como palabra clave.Look for the key word or idea that stands out. Turn it into a plural noun keyword.
  4. Formar el tema alrededor de la palabra clave.Form the subject around the keyword.
  5. Listar los hechos o verdades específicas del texto. Convertir cada hecho en un punto corto (cinco palabras o menos) que sea un singular de la palabra clave.List the specific facts or truths in the text. Turn each fact into a short point (five words or less) that is a singular of the keyword.
  6. Escribir un objetivo evangelístico de una sola oración que llame a una decisión.Write a one-sentence evangelistic objective that calls for a decision.
  7. Agregar una invitación clara al final.Add a clear invitation at the end.

  2. Punto Dos: Creer en el corazón.Point Two: Believe in your heart.
  3. Punto Tres: Recibir la salvación de Dios.Point Three: Receive God's salvation.

Cada punto es un singular de la palabra clave "condiciones". Cada punto tiene cinco palabras o menos. Los puntos son paralelos. El sermón es inductivo porque comienza con el texto y deja que el texto forme el bosquejo. Each point is a singular of the keyword "conditions." Each point is five words or less. The points are parallel. The sermon is inductive because it begins with the text and lets the text form the outline.

Los puntos son cortos, paralelos y cada uno es un singular de la palabra clave "mandatos". El Método de la Palabra da al predicador un método que es a la vez disciplinado y cálidamente bíblico — nada llamativo, pero todo lo necesario. The points are short, parallel, and each one is a singular of the keyword "commands." The Word Method gives the preacher a method that is at once disciplined and warmly biblical — nothing fancy, but everything needed.
